Nike links with Atmos for an updated version of the classic Nike Air Max 1 "Safari" for 2016.

The early 2000's was a great time for Air Max 1's, as well as one of the best times for collaborations. Back in 2002-2003, Nike linked up with Japanese brand / store Atmos on a series of Air Max 1 colorways that offered a new approach on the 87 classic. One of the highlights of the series, was the Nike Air Max 1 "Safari" – a butter Air TN Requin Max 1 featuring an upper that consisted of canvas, suede, safari and hits Nike Tn of leather.

This year, Nike and Atmos link once again on an updated version of the OG featuring a similar aesthetic. The Air Max 1 will feature a color combination of Flax/Kumquat-Chestnut, icy outsole, safari print, micro swoosh and a plush material on the toe box.
